ISO (mezinárodní organizace pro normalizaci) je celosvětovou federací národních normalizačních orgánů (členů ISO). Na mezinárodních normách obvykle pracují technické komise ISO. Každý člen ISO, který se zajímá o předmět, pro který byla vytvořena technická komise, má právo být zastoupen v této technické komisi. Práce se zúčastňují i mezinárodní organizace, vládní i nevládní, s nimiž ISO navázala pracovní styk. ISO úzce spolupracuje s Mezinárodní

elektrotechnickou komisí (IEC) ve všech záležitostech normalizace v elektrotechnice.

ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies (ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations,

governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization.

Draft International Standards adopted by the technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for approval before their acceptance as International Standards by the ISO Council. They are approved in accordance with ISO procedures requiring at least 75 % approval by the member bodies voting.

Tato část ISO 8421 uvádí termíny a definice, používané v oboru elektrické požární signalizace. Obecné termíny jsou uvedeny v ISO 8421-1. Termíny jsou řazeny v anglickém abecedním pořádku v článcích 3. 1 a 3. 2; anglický a francouzský rejstřík je připojen.

POZNÁMKA - V systému číslování termínů počáteční číslice 3 označuje část 3 této mezinárodní normy.

Scope

This part of ISO 8421 gives terms and definitions for fire detection and alarm. General use terms are covered by ISO 8421-1. Terms are given in English alphabetical order within 3. 1 and 3. 2 respectively; English and French alphabetical indexes are provided.

NOTE - In the numbering systems of the terms, the initial figure 3 denotes Part 3 of this International Standard.

3. 1. 2 alarm of fire, false: Alarm of fire (3. 1. 1) that is false because the fire reported does not and did not exist. This false alarm may arise by malicious, mistaken, or accidental intent.
