Tato evropská norma byla schválena CEN 1998-06-18. Členové CEN jsou povinni splnit Vnitřní předpisy CEN/CENELEC, v nichž jsou stanoveny podmínky, za kterých se musí této evropské normě bez jakýchkoliv modifikací dát status národní normy. Aktualizované seznamy a bibliografické citace týkající se těchto národních norem lze obdržet na vyžádání v Ústředním sekretariátu nebo u kteréhokoliv člena CEN.

Tato evropská norma byla vypracována technickou komisí CEN/TC 121 „Svařování”, jejíž sekretariát vykonává DS.

This European Standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 121 "Welding”, the secretariat of which is held by DS.

La présente norme européenne a été élaborée par le Comité Technique CEN/TC 121 "Soudage" dont le secrétariat est tenu par le DS.

Diese Europäische Norm wurde vom Technischen Komitee CEN/TC 121 "Schweißen" erarbeitet, dessen Sekretariat vom DS gehalten wird.

Této evropské normě je nutno nejpozději do března 1999 dát status národní normy, a to buď vydáním identického textu, nebo schválením k přímému používání, a národní normy, které jsou s ní v rozporu je nutno zrušit nejpozději do března 1999.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by March 1999, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by March 1999.

Cette norme européenne devra recevoir le statut de norme nationale, soit par publication d'un texte identique, soit par entérinement, au plus tard en mars 1999, et toutes les normes nationales en contradiction devront être retirées au plus tard en mars 1999.

According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

Typ svarového spoje a jeho příprava jsou důležitými aspekty při svařování součástí nebo konstrukcí. Závisí na tloušťkách součásti, materiálech, metodě svařování a poloze svařo-vání. Při překladu z jednoho jazyka do druhého je nezbytné, aby stejné termíny byly zcela jednoznačné. Ne-dorozumění mohou mít vážné nebo dokonce nebezpečné následky.

The type of joint and joint preparation are important aspects of welding components or structures. They de-pend on the component thickness, materials, welding process and wel-ding position. It is necessary, when moving from one language to ano-ther, to be completely unambiguous when using equivalent terms; misun-derstandings can have serious and even dangerous repercussions.

Le type d’assemblage et le type de préparation sont des aspects importants des pièces à souder ou des constructions soudées. Ils dé-pendent de l’épaisseur de la pièce, des matériaux, du procédé de sou-dage et de la position de soudage. Il est nécessaire, à l’occasion du passage d’une langue à une autre, d’utiliser un langage sans ambiguïté lorsque l’on emploie des termes équivalents, un malentendu pouvant en effet avoir des conséquences graves et même dangereuses.

Stoßart und Fugenvorbereitung sind wichtige Merkmale von Schweiß-konstruktionen. Sie werden von der Werkstückdicke, den Werkstoffen, dem Schweißprozeß und der Schweißposition bestimmt. Beim Übergang von einer zur anderen Sprache ist es erforderlich, daß gleichwertige Begriffe absolut zwei-felsfrei sind. Mißverständnisse können schwerwiegende, ja sogar gefährliche Folgen haben.

Cílem této normy je uvést jasné
a jednoznačné zobrazení termínů, běžně používaných ve svařování. Zpracování obrázků je opatřeno anglickými, francouzskými a němec-kými termíny a může být doplněno, pokud je to nezbytné, ekvivalentními termíny z jiných jazyků.

The aim of this standard is to provide clear and unambiguous illustrations of welding terms in common use. The pictorial representation layout is linked to terms in English, French and German but may be adapted to add equivalent terms in other languages, where necessary.

L’objet de la présente norme est de fournir des illustrations claires et précises des termes de soudage couramment utilisés. La repré-sentation graphique renvoie à des termes anglais, français et allemand, mais peut être adaptée de manière
à être complétée si nécessaire par des termes équivalents dans d’autres langues.

Zweck dieser Norm ist, klare und zweifelsfreie Darstellungen üblicher schweißtechnischer Begriffe verfüg-bar zu machen. Die bildliche Dar-stellungsweise ist mit Begriffen in Englisch, Französisch und Deutsch versehen und kann bei Bedarf durch gleichwertige Begriffe in anderen Sprachen ergänzt werden.

Tato evropská norma popisuje pro-střednictvím obrazového vyjádření většinu obvyklejších termínů pro typy spojů, jejich přípravu a svary, a to v anglickém, francouzském a německém jazyce.

This European standard describes by pictorial representation most of the more common terms, in English, French and German, for types of joints, joint preparation and welds.

La présente norme européenne classifie par représentation graphique la plupart des termes les plus courants utilisés en anglais, français et en allemand pour décrire les types d’assemblages, de pré-parations de joints et de soudures.

Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt durch bildliche Darstellungen in den Sprachen Englisch, Französisch und Deutsch die meisten üblichen Begriffe für Stoßarten, Fugen-vorbereitungen und Schweißverbin-dungen.

This standard can be used on its own or in conjunction with EN 1792 and other, similar standards.

Diese Norm kann entweder für sich allein oder in Verbindung mit EN 1792 bzw. anderen ähnlichen Normen benutzt werden.
